Handmade Burger Co Review

Back in December my boyfriend and I travelled to Birmingham to visit the German Market and to do a bit of Christmas shopping, whilst we were their we thought it would be nice to meet my with my sister, who studies at the University of Birmingham and go out for dinner. We made a decision to eat at the Handmade Burger Co restaurant. They have 3 restaurants in Birmingham; Grand Central, Bullring and Brindleyplace. We decided to go to the one at Grand Central as we were all catching the train back to my sisters house after the meal…

Handmade Burger

When we first arrived at the Handmade Burger restaurant we were greeted with a smile and some friendly waitresses, whom showed us to our seats and went through the menu with us; They have a great selection of burgers, salads, pit range and sides fit for everyone. I did find the menu expensive compared to other places that I have eaten out; you are looking at £8 minimum for a burger and another £3 for chips or a side, you can get bottomless soft drinks for £3 each too. I really liked how they have gluten free menu as well because I have friends who are gluten tolerant and find it hard to eat out, so I will recommend this restaurant to them. To order you have to go up and order it yourself, which can take a while if the restaurant is busy because the queue can be long.

The Italian Burger £9.75

HBC Double Cheese and Bacon Burger- £12.50

Cheese Classic Burger- £7.95

Coleslaw- £2.95

Sweat Potato Fries- £3.95

Sharing Desert- I can’t remember the price!

As you can probably tell by the pictures the food was delicious, (I hope you had something to eat before reading this post, If you didn’t, I am sorry!) The burgers are good quality and very filling, the only that hasn’t really sold it for me is the fact it doesn’t come with chips or a side salad, you have to order these separately so it doesn’t feel like you get much for your money, however we only needed one portion of chips for the 3 of us and the deserts are massive; this a sharing sundae and we struggled to finish it all.

I would come here again to eat, however I wouldn’t make a visit as often as I would like to because I think it is a bit expensive for a student like myself, we didn’t get much change out of £80 for this meal.

Disclosure: We were given a complimentary meal in exchange for an honest review. My thoughts still remain my own.
