Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream Review + Swatches
I have looked at getting some matte lipsticks for ages but I always debated about what brands to try or what shades would suit me the most so I never brought any. I love walking around Boots and Superdrug and looking around all of the makeup counters to see what has recently been brought out and to stock up on sone old favourites. On a recent shopping trip the Sleek Matte Me Lip Creams really took my fancy so I brought one in the shade Birthday suit to try it out.
I have been a massive lover of nude colours recently which why I picked this shade out as it is pinky nude colour, you have to be careful what nude colours you wear because some can wash you out so you have to make sure they match your completion, I tend to stick with pinkier nudes rather then beige shades because in the winter my skin is fair.
One of the reasons why I was reluctant to buy matte lip products was because I was scared that why would dry my lips out or irritate me. This Sleek Matte Me Lip Cream dries out quickly and the colour fades after a short while, so I would recommend that you apply lip balm underneath, I tend to use Carmex normally, as this has helped the colour to last lot longer and not dry my lips up as quickly.
Sleek have 15 shades in this collection, some I wouldn’t go near as they are very bold and bright as I don’t have the confidence to wear bold lip colours, even though I would love too! You can view the rest of the shades here. For £4.99 I would recommend these matte lip shades because you only need one layer as it is really pigmented, just remember to wear lip balm underneath!
